I am more than slightly addicted to shopping on the internet. Are you? I mean it is one of the most amazing inventions ever, right? Just this week I have already purchased throw pillows, shoes for the little one, and three books for myself...now all of these things were on sale and I must say I am a complete sucker for free shipping (ugh, gets me everytime). My addiction goes deeper than just liking to shop...I also really hate going into stores..with tons of annoying people...around every corner..geting in my way!! I mean shopping in my underwear is so much more awesome. Well I know you are all aware of how cool the internet is but I just wanted to reassure you..thanks for reading. What about you friends, what are you addicted too?

Also for those of you that wear glasses you have to check out this website I've discovered Warby Parker. You just pick 5 pairs of glasses you like, they send them to your house so you can try them on...pick the ones you like send them back and get you prescription in the glasses you choose. Again no going in public! Amazing.

thank goodness for long weekends

Oh I can't even begin to explain how much I love long weekends! Have I told you how much I love President's day....it might be my new favorite holiday. I mean to have a day off in the middle a February and really I don't have to do a dang thing for this holiday! No stress! Just fun! Shane and I are going to go see "Just Go with It." Have you seen it? Is it worth seeing? I have heard it is hilarious! I also have so many things I want to bake...like zucchini bread cookies (doesn't that sound amazing??) and homemade graham crackers. Since Shane is working on Saturday I think I am just going to do it. No more talk...just doing.

It's okay to be mad sometimes

So we didn't end up going to Chipotle for dinner as planned. Turns out tons of other people had this same plan cause holy moly there was a line out the door! So Shane and I went to our favorite little Mexican restaurants El Farol. I have been going to El Farol as long as I can remember...it is one of those cheesy little places with fake flowers and a lot a Mexican decor but you know they have the best nachos and carnitas I have ever had! It was a special little time for us. Addy was pretty good for most of the dinner. At one point during our meal she decided it was a good idea to get under the table and come over to me...fine. Then she decided to go back over to Shane...fine. After she did this about five or six times I finally told her to stop. So she gets under the table again and says "Mom, I am just so mad at you now." Freaking hilarious! It took everything I had to be stern with her and tell her to sit in her seat. She did and then decided she wanted to eat but by this time Shane and I were done eating. Oh well she did eat a little more but on our way home she said "mommy I'm huuungry!!" Needless to say we had to make a little stop at Wendys for some chicken nuggets. Love that girl!

Happy Valentine's day!

Happy Valentines day friends! Today I went into work late so Shane and I could have a little breakfast and coffee together. It was a wonderful start to the day. The sun is shining and I am happy so it is going to be a great day! Tonight we are going to go to Chipotle for dinner for some BOGO action! For some reason romance comes in the form of a pork taco for us and it makes me happy.

The Birthday!

Addy and I had a really great birthday this year. We went and picked out some new toys for Addy, went to lunch with our friends, took a nap (Addy not me), and then went and had a wonderful dinner with family. Addy loves being two I think. She went around all the next day telling people she was two. Here is a picture of the two of us at lunch.....

Shane and I were going to go out to dinner but it just didn't happen. Oh well! There is always valentines day right??

January Blues

Although January is my birthday month I always forget what a complete downer this month is. Right now it is totally crappy looking outside....muddy, nasty, wet, cold. I would just be happier if it would snow snow snow and then be spring. Done and done I tell you. I am making it through by drinking lots of hot tea and spending a lot of time listening to amazing music....we now have Pandora on our blueray player and I never have known such bliss....I spent almost the entire day yesterday listening to Billie Holiday and Etta James. I did rearrange our living room this weekend and I have to say I am quite pleased with it. I am looking forward to mine and Addy's birthdays on the 27th but after that this yuckiness can just go away. Forever.
