One more year down......

So 2008 is pretty much over...only 14 hours to go. 2008 has been a great year in my life, definitely one of the better ones. I am so happy to have such an awesome and supportive husband, our marriage is so great I just couldn't be happier with any other person. I love to watch Lucas grow and grow I can't believe how much he has changed just in the past year. Shane and I have been together since Luke was 2 and I have seen him go from baby, to toddler, to a boy. Now we have a little girl on the way that will be here in a matter of weeks and I get to start the process all over again and I couldn't be more thrilled! I know it is going to be rough at times but I know there will be plenty of amazing times to outweigh those rough times.

Other things are great too! Shane and I have had the opportunity to do some improvements on our little home. I love it! I am so grateful that Shane and I have stable good jobs so we are able to do these improvements on our house. I am happy that we are able to make our mortgage payment from month to month. So many people have had to struggle this year and I feel blessed that we have not had to struggle, we are happy and healthy.

I hope everyone has had a good 2008 and I hope that 2009 will be just as awesome!

Baby Shower # 2

The wonderful girls at work through Abby and I a shower. We only played one game and it was fun and ate really yummy food! I had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed having a joint shower with Abby! Thanks girls!

Poor Pup!

My precious little Dignon had a wound on his head called a hot spot. We had to take him to the vet and they had to shave his head and clean the wound. It is doing a lot better now. Here is a picture of his bald head. It is kind of a gross picture so BEWARE!

The Baby Shower

Last Saturday was my baby shower with friends and family. It was a lot of fun! We ate, sat around and talked, and opened all the presents. We did not play any games and I was okay with that I don't like baby shower games. It was really fun! Thanks to everyone that came. The wonderful girls I work with are throwing Abby and I a shower on December 4th! It should be a lot of fun! I love baby stuff!

Ready already

Okay I know I only have 11 weeks more to go with this pregnancy, but I am so ready to have this baby. I just want my little girl to be here. I know I need to be patient, I will try but is not going to be easy.

Update on everything

I went to the doctor on Monday. Everything is going good. I heard our little girl's heartbeat and it sounded great. I had to take my glucose test, it really wasn't as bad as everyone said that it was. I had to get a shot because I am RH-, I hate getting shots but that wasn't that bad either. My blood preasure was a little higher than normal (probably because I had to get a shot and get my blood drawn and I was nervous) so now for the next month I have to take my blood preasure two times a day, it is kind of a pain. On another note my brother made it to Portland save and sound. I talked to him on Sunday and he sounded happy....I can't wait to go visit. Tomorrow is Halloween and Lucas is going to be a cowboy/sheriff...I will post pictures of him later.

Goodbye for now

I went to dinner at my mom and dad's house last night. My older brother Zak came to dinner, I have not seen him for over a month so it was nice to see him. While we were eating dinner he told us that he is moving to Portland in three days. He is moving in with a girl that he says he loves......WOW, this was a shocker to Shane and I. If you knew my brother hearing him say that he loves someone is something that is very hard to grasp. I still can't get over it! I will miss him very much! Luckily he said that he will come back in January when I have the baby. I am sad and happy for him all at the same time. I just had to share this, I still can't get over it. Crazy!

24 weeks and counting

I haven't blogged in a while. Things are going good with the baby and I, we had a doctors appointment last week and everything was good. We have to go again at the end of this month. I am 24 weeks which is 6 months, for those of you that don't want to do the math.....that is crazy! Other news Shane has been building a car for our tattoo artist for the last two years and he started it up last week, we were so excited I am so proud of him, he is amazing. Now we need to start doing more on the house so we can be ready when the little one comes! Things are going great! And can I just say how very very excited I am for the fall to be here. I love the rain and the changing leaves it is absolutely wonderful!

It's a Girl!

We found out that our new love that is going to be born in January is a Girl! We are super excited! I love little girls! I really wanted a little girl, but if I knew if I said that it would be a boy.....not that I would have loved a boy any less, but I just really wanted a girl. I can't believe how fast time is going by...I know our little girl will be here before we know it....although I am not looking forward to giving birth to this little one, I am looking forward to falling in love with her. She is really healthy and is growing the way she is supposed to. The doctor says that I am doing good too! So far so good!

Baby Update

So we had a doctors appointment yesterday. I was hoping we would have another ultrasound so maybe just maybe we could find out the sex of our baby, but no ultrasound. The doctor went over all the blood tests I have had and everything was normal and I found out my blood type. I am type O-. I was really excited to find this out, don't ask me why I just was. Then the doctor let us listen to our babies heart beat, it was in the 150's and that is normal. So far the baby and I are healthy. We are coming right along. So on September 3rd we have an ultrasound appointment and then we will know if it a boy or a girl. I can't wait!

August already!

I can't believe that it is already August I am in total shock! It is almost Lucas' 7th birthday another thing I can't believe. Shane and I have been together since Lucas was 2 and now he is going to be 7! Crazy! Before you know it is going to be January and I am going to be having a baby. Where does the time go? I just wish that time would slow down a little! Although I have never been more excited for the month of January in my life. I can't wait to see our wonderful new addition to our cute little family. But once that baby is born time better slow down or else.

Camping!

This weekend Shane, Luke, and I went camping in the Uintah's. It was so nice to get away for a few days. We left Thursday afternoon, my Brother Zak joined in last minute. So we packed up the dogs and left. It was so nice up there. It was nice to get out of the heat for a little while. Friday we went fishing and swimming, then our friends Becky and Justin met us. We went fishing some more then made some wonderful camping dinner. Saturday we got and made breakfast and packed up and went for a little drive, then headed back home. It was such a shock coming back down into the valley, it was so HOT! So then we decided to shower and go to a movie. We went and saw The Incredible Hulk, then to dinner, and then home and passed out. Sunday we cleaned all day. It was a really good weekend for all of us, including the new baby, I can tell it already loves camping!

We went and saw Batman this weekend! It was really good. Heath Ledger was the best Joker ever! I loved it! Everyone should go see it!

Oh Happy Day!!

So I have been a blogging slacker lately! I thought since I have big news I better post something! I am PREGNANT!!! We are so excited! For those of you who don't know we have been trying for a little over a year, so when I saw those two pink lines on that pregnancy test I started crying instantly. We have a lot of preparing to do for this little one. We have been trying to decide which room will be the nursery, but I think we have made our decision, it will be the room downstairs right next to our room. Right now my due date is January 25th, two days before my birthday! The baby will be a wonderful birthday gift for me! It feels so great to finally tell everyone, we have been keeping it a secret for like 2 months now! Well that is it for now.....

What a bruiser!!

This weekend we had a lot of fun with little Lucas. We took him to his friend Skyler's birthday party, there was so many games for him to play....they had limbo, a dart game, horse shoes, and a pinata. He had so much candy and then there was cupcakes and pizza and soda oh my!! We took him back to his mom's house after that and he went to a pool party with his baseball team. Well while he was at the party he slipped and cut his chin open. We got a bunch of calls from his mom telling us that she had to take him to the emergency room to get stitches in his chin. It turns out that he did not cry once, not when he fell and not when he was getting the stitches. The doctor and the nurse were so surprised how good he was. He ended up getting six stitches in his chin. He is so awesome!! What a little trooper.

Happy Anniversary!!

We had a wonderful 1 year anniversary!! Sunday night we had a really good dinner at PF Chang's, the dinner tasted wonderful and we had a piece of chocolate cake the size of my head! It was awesome. At dinner we talked about our first year of marriage and what we thought of the whole thing and we have decided that we truly do like each other. The next day we slept in and had a late breakfast. We hung out around the house most of the day and then went for a hike. The pictures above are of the hike. Then we rented a movie and ordered a pizza. All and all I would have to say that it was a good anniversary, not very exciting, but good.

The Wedding Anniversary

It is almost our first wedding anniversary....Wow one year!! Crazy!! Shane keeps on asking me what we should do....He wants to do something fun and special, but he won't give any ideas...I tried to tell him that he should just plan something and surprise me, that would be romantic right. He doesn't want to do that. So I need some ideas on something fun, memorable, and exciting. Please give some suggestions....I need help I am not good at this kind of stuff.

I just want to go play in the sun.....I am sitting here at my desk and I am so freezing (probably doesn't help that I am drinking ice water). I wish that I would have just played hookie today and played in the sun with my puppies.

Tomorrow Lucas has this art thing at the Hogle Zoo and I am pretty excited about it, first of all I love the zoo 'cause I love the animals....I kind of want to take them home and play with them, but then again who wants to clean up elephant poop. I am hoping that it is be fun stuff. I think the thought of the zoo makes me feel like it really is spring again! I hope that there are babies at the zoo nothing says spring like a fat little baby.

So the moral of my story is that I am so glad that it is finally warming up, but I get stir crazy just sitting here at my desk when I know that it is wonderful outside.....those windows to the outdoors are taunting me with their sunshine they are letting in.....Good thing it is almost Friday.

San Rafael Swell

We are going camping at the San Rafael Swell this weekend with our friends Becky, Justin, Meg, and Patrick. I am so freakin' excited!! I need to get out of this city, even if it just for the weekend. We are celebrating Shane's 31st and we going to get crazy!! YEAH!

Birthday BBQ

We celebrated Shane and my mom's birthday yesterday. It was so much fun!! We had a cinco de mayo dinner and it was so yummy!! I love being with our family, they are so great, I don't know what we would do without them. Lucas had a blast and was being really cute. He loves uncle Zak because he is a big kid. It was a whole lot of fun.

Cinco De Mayo!! I am excited to eat yummy mexican food and make margaritas!! Just in case you didn't know I make a really good margarita. I love everything Mexican I sometimes wish that I was Mexican! I love it all!!!

Wonderful weekend

We got a new fridge this weekend and it is awesome!! We did so much work on our house it is so nice to finally be getting our house the way we want it. I am so excited!! When it is all put together we will have a PARTY!!
